Guy's practice is focused on personal and business tax planning, corporate law, employee benefit planning, and civil litigation. Guy is a Certified Public Accountant whose expertise also enables him to lend assistance to the firm's White Collar Criminal Defense practice.
After graduating from the University of Buffalo School of Law, Guy passed the New York bar but did not immediately put those skills to use. Instead, Guy joined Deloitte and Touche, where he served as a National Tax Partner, managed their Employee Benefit Practice, and was in charge of Deloitte's Carolinas Tax Practice. Guy later owned a very successful Charlotte-based manufacturing company, conducting business both domestically and internationally.
Guy is currently on the Board of Directors of the Retired Football Players Association, and has sat as President of the Board of Trustees for a number of organizations and institutions, including the Providence Day School, Catholic Social Services, Dore Academy, and the North Carolina Association of Retarded Citizens. He is also currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a national professional association for CPAs in the United States.
