Margaret Errington joined the firm in 1986 after graduating from Northeastern University School of Law and clerking for the Honorable Herbert W. Wilkins in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She has been a shareholder since 1992.
Margaret was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 1954. She graduated from Wesleyan University in 1982 with a degree in music. Before completing her bachelor’s degree she spent six years traveling and working at a variety of jobs, including as a certified piano technician for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Baldwin Piano Company, experience that has proved invaluable to her employment law practice.
During her early years with the firm, Margaret’s practice concentrated on litigation in the areas of medical negligence, civil rights and employment law. In 1992, after her first child was born, she stopped litigating and cut back to a part-time schedule in order to raise her family. Since then, Margaret has provided litigation support for her partners and has worked on many of the firm’s most notable recent cases. She also does estate administration and planning, and has continued to work in the area of employment law practice. Margaret was recently recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the area of labor and employment law.
